Cherry quartz

The stone of joy and gentleness

Pinkish-red glass sold as "cherry quartz"; liked for its cheerful colour and accessible price.

Despite the name, cherry quartz is not natural quartz but man-made glass in a pinkish red, produced industrially and sold as a gemstone. GIA lab testing found round gas bubbles in it, a clear sign of glass. We list it here under its trade name, openly and not as a natural stone.
